About
About TickFeed
TickFeed is a market data API for developers, trading bots and AI agents: live bid/ask quotes and complete candle history for 60 forex pairs and 11 metals, over REST and MCP, paid for by the request.
Who we are
TickFeed is an independent business based in the United Kingdom. We build for people who write code against market data and need to trust it: bot builders, quants doing research, and developers connecting AI assistants to live markets.
Questions, bugs or feature requests go to [email protected], or open a support ticket from your dashboard. A person reads every message, and we reply within one working day.
What we believe
Market data should be honest about itself. A price from before the weekend should never look live, and a missing candle should never be quietly invented. Every TickFeed response says how fresh it is, so your code can decide what to do with it.
Pricing should be simple: no subscription, no tiers, no sales call. Pay a fraction of a cent per request from a prepaid balance, and failed requests cost nothing.
Where the prices come from
Spot forex and gold don't trade on a single exchange. They trade over the counter, between banks and dealers. TickFeed's prices are live bid/ask quotes from a professional OTC dealing feed, streamed as they update and timestamped to the millisecond in UTC.
We store every candle from one minute to daily, check the recent history against the live feed every ten minutes, and audit the stored data every day. We never fill a gap or invent a bar.
What our prices are not. They aren't an official benchmark such as the LBMA gold price. Because OTC markets have no single price, quotes can differ slightly between providers, typically by a fraction of the spread. For benchmark settlement, use the official fix. For trading bots, backtests, dashboards and AI agents, use the live quote.
How we keep the data honest
Each quote is labelled fresh, market closed or stale, with its age in seconds.
Bars still forming are flagged incomplete. Gaps are reported, never filled.
Recent history is re-verified against the live feed every ten minutes, and the full store is audited daily.
Feed health is checked every few seconds and published on the status page.
What TickFeed is not
TickFeed provides market data only. We don't give investment advice, execute trades or hold money for trading. Your balance pays for API requests and nothing else. See the terms and privacy policy.
Coverage
60 forex pairs and 11 metals: the major, minor and exotic currency pairs, plus gold, silver, platinum and palladium. Candles at M1, M5, M15, M30, H1, H4 and D1. See every market.
Frequently asked questions
Where does TickFeed get its data?
From a professional OTC dealing feed: the same kind of live bid/ask quotes trading platforms show. Prices are streamed as they update and every one carries a freshness label. We don't publish our upstream providers.
Why can TickFeed's prices differ slightly from other providers?
Spot forex and gold trade over the counter, so there is no single official price at any moment. Quotes from different sources usually differ by a fraction of the spread. For benchmark settlement, use an official fix such as the LBMA gold price; for bots, backtests, dashboards and AI agents, use the live quote.
